Character Turn around one

  1. +gWell first off I like how clear the character is for being a dog. However, I don't like the fact that if you're trying to go for a detective, it doesn't show detective. Give him the garbs and accessories of a detective and try experimenting with a different pose or two. It'll give him a personality everyone will want to look at. Plus it'd be wise to keep your character straight on the horizon line since it looks like he's going upwards as you are changing directions

  2. Kathryn pretty much said it all. Give him some detective gear, make sure he's on the same line (and plane), fix his feet a bit (sometimes there's three toes and others, two), make sure to line details up (because it's pretty obvious that they're not), and it should be good to go. Also, as an extra tidbit you may or may not want to use, you can make his tie/bow/collar thing black to tie the black/white together. Dunno, but just put a layer on photoshop and see how it looks.

  3. Definitely add his more detective-like traits when you fix him up. Watch his posture too...he kinda starts to lean forward. The magic pizza pan will help, I swear. ;) Other than that, I find him adorable!

  4. I just figured this website out hahah

jen: Good turn around. He needs more character though and he needs to be less "stiff"

i have to just say over all work on building more form to your characters. they seem to stay in their first level of development.

You have their contour lines and general shapes down, but there is no line weight or perspective.

You worked really hard on your room project. If you worked hard and even harder on your designs they would turn our so well!

You have over all good ideas, but you need to go to the next level.

Also (not that i don't do the same) but DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!

We are ALL guilty of this... but I would love to see you develop a character that you seriously worked on for like two weeks. That you developed and ask advice on and just over all kept the general idea of but changed things and tried new things with instead of just having you mind set on just one thing and one idea.

    <3 keep it up girl!
